Welcome to Paws4Laws! We have launched a nationwide project to help you communicate with your
local legislators about anti-canine legislation.
Issues include proposals concerning: mandatory spay
and neuter, guardianship, ear/tail docking, breed-specific legislation, and home insurance. These
proposals have the potential to negatively impact your life as a dog owner, exhibitor, competitor,
or pet owner. Your immediate participation in the following campaigns is essential, as a discussion
or vote on these issues is imminent.
Our current campaigns include the following:
Selmer, Tennessee
- The city of Selmer, TN is considering a ban on pit bulls. The ban is scheduled to be on the agenda of the May 13, 2008 city council meeting.
Please feel free to change the subject and leading paragraph when you start your letter.
Cudahy, Wisconsin
- Cudahy, WI is considering a breed ban.
A meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance committed has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
This is the committee that will determine the revisions to the city's dog ordinance and could vote it in during this meeting.
